Heidi Peelen Brooks is the producer and host of the ongoing lecture series, In Defense of Art-Making: Women Artists Tell Their Stories, a story sharing event where artists from our area take the stage to share moments from their art-making career centered around a specific them, from pivots to career-changing decisions - each speaker invited shares a part of her story that has kept her making her work no matter the circumstances.
